How to set up mac login configuration tool


Client tool configuration

In order to use the Mac login service, you must be configured in the client tool.
The procedure differs depending on whether the YubiOn Portal administrator or someone other than the administrator operates the system.
Please follow the steps below to set up the system.

  1. After the client tool installation is complete, a “key” icon will appear in the menu bar in the upper right corner of the screen.
    Click on the “key” icon.
    YubiOn Portal settings will be displayed.

  2. Click on the “Settings” icon in the upper right corner.
  3. Click on “Run as a LoginManager”.
    The Client Tool login screen will appear.

  4. Click on the OTP (One Time Password) entry field.
  5. Insert the YubiKey into the USB port and touch the metal part.
  6. Click on “Assign Accounts and Authenticators.”
    The list on the right side shows the YubiKeys registered in YubiOn Portal.
    This YubiKey must be activated for use with a Mac login.
    *YubiKey with “x” in the “already” column is not activated.

  7. Click on the YubiKey you wish to activate and click on the “Settings” icon in the lower right corner.
  8. Click the YubiKey input field and touch the metal part of the YubiKey plugged into the USB port.
  9. Click “OK” when the YubiKey linking completion message is displayed.
  10. If YubiKey is successfully activated, the “already” column will change to a “check mark”.
  11. Click “Finish.”
  12. Click “Yes.”

    That’s all for the client tool configuration.
    The next time you log in, you will be able to log in using your YubiKey.
